“This is My Body” – Book Discussion

During Advent we were invited to read Bishop Barron’s book “This is My Body: A Call to Eucharistic Revival”. For Lent we would like to invite you to a weekly book discussion led by Lois DeFelice in which we will look more deeply at the Sacrament of Jesus’ Body and Blood through this book.

This group will meet on Thursdays either after 8 AM Mass at St. Cyprian or at 6:30 PM at St. Celestine in the Fireside Room. Discussions will take place on February 22, 29 and March 7, 14, 21.

Books will be available for you with a suggested donation of $2.00.

For Week 2 February 29, please read pages 26-51 and think about these questions:

  • How does the Sacred Liturgy, the Mass, restore unity?
  • What is the importance of sacrifice in restoring communion?

For Week 3 March 7, please read pages 51-68 and think about these questions:

  • What deeper insight did this reading give you on the Eucharist?
  • What can we learn about the Eucharist from the Church Fathers and the early Church?

Join us whether or not you have read the section; we hope to have a lively discussion!
