On March 19, 2021, we celebrated an in-person and live–streamed Mass at St. Celestine at 8 AM in honor of St. Joseph. The month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph. Friday, March 19, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This year, Pope Francis also announced a Year of St. Joseph, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the saint’s proclamation as patron of the Universal Church. The year began December 8, 2020, and concludes on December 8, 2021. Pope Francis said he was establishing the year so that “every member of the faithful, following his example, may strengthen their life of faith daily in the complete fulfillment of God’s will.” We turn to St. Joseph for his patronage and protection.
