WORDS OF THANKS – The Parish Taste was a great success. What a great turn out with more than a thousand people! We thank God for giving us the good weather and all the good food that we had. We are so grateful to all the people who worked so hard on the Taste. So many people donated so much: time, money, raffle items, food, and drinks! We are so grateful to the staff for all their work as well as all the volunteers! It was great to get so many people together after a three-year break.

Special thanks to Vicki Cannizzaro who worked tirelessly to get gift cards and other items for the raffles, as well as to Darlene Hrankaj, Bev Parylak, Jeanne Schneider, and Mary Krewer who helped fill the baskets and made the basket raffles look beautiful. The food booths all looked great and the food tasted great. We would like to thank the following families and organizations for the food booths: The Lis Family for the Polish food, the Rivera Family and Greg Derlacki for the Mexican food, the Cao family and Viet Taste for the Vietnamese food, Linda Santelli, Carm DePillo, and Skip Marcucci for the Italian food, the Arenga family for the Filipino food, the Women’s Club for the Nachos, Mary Murphy and Special Religious Ed for the Irish food, the Parents’ Club for hot dogs and the School Board for the pizzas. Thanks to the Scouts and those who helped with set up and clean up afterward. We appreciate all those who helped with crafts for the kids. DJ Rick Bertucci provided great music.

Hugo Colin did a great job as Elvis and entertained us with three sets of Elvis songs. Hugo is a wonderful young man and a cantor for Mass, and he volunteered to entertain at the taste. You can follow him on Facebook at Hugo’s Artist – Tribute Artist or go see him perform. Follow him @hugoselvista on Instagram.

We are grateful for the two $500 donations from the Elms and Belmont Funeral Homes that helped fund the Grand Raffle prizes – 1st Prize $2000 – Joany Binder, 2nd Prize $1000 – Mary Krewer, and 3rd Prize $500 – Son Ho

The Parish Taste was a terrific reflection of our parish spirit. It was a chance to see so many people especially after three years of the pandemic. To one and to all – THANK YOU!!! May God bless you and reward you for all your good work!!
