Remembering the Dead during November
One of the Corporal Works of Mercy is to pray for the dead. Since we believe in the Communion of Saints, we pray for those who have gone before us and ask them to pray for us. As Catholics, we especially remember the dead during November.
Please bring pictures of your departed loved one to either church on the weekend of October 25-26, and place them on the Altar of the Dead in the back of the churches. You may also write their names in the Book of Remembrance at the churches so that all can pray for them in November.
