The Chosen is a groundbreaking historical TV show based on the life of Jesus Christ (played by Jonathan Roumie), seen through the eyes of those who knew him. Set against the backdrop of Roman oppression in first-century Israel, the seven-season show shares an authentic and intimate look at Jesus’ revolutionary life and teachings.

THE CHOSEN ADVENTURE – There is a new cartoon series on Amazon Prime called The Chosen Adventures. Each episode is about 10 minutes long, and follows 9-year-old Abby and her best friend Joshua, who meet Jesus of Nazareth in Capernaum around 30 AD. Adventures was developed by one of the writers of the TV series The Chosen, and it features the voices of many cast members, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus.
This is the kind of screen time parents can get behind. This series combines the wisdom of the Bible with stories kids will love, and it has certainly been well–received by the bulletin editor’s 11, 10, and 8 year old grandchildren who kept asking to watch just one more episode.
