Special Religious Education Mass 2024

For over 50 years, St. Celestine Parish and now St. Mother Guerin Parish has offered Special Religious Education for Children and Adults. Through the dedicated work of Mary Murphy and the late Rita McCormick, as well as her catechists, parents, grandparents, and volunteers, many children and adults with special needs have been able to be involved in the Catholic Church, reminding us that we are all made in the image and likeness of God, and that there is room for all in the Church.

Saturday, April 20 was the last day of class for the school year 2023-2024 and over 50 people attended the Mass which was celebrated by Fr. Paul. This was followed by a reception in the Annex. Mary never wants recognition and always wants to be sure her catechists and volunteers are thanked, but we want to acknowledge and be proud of this ministry and all the lives it has touched, in and out of the program.
